To give children the opportunity,
via different forms of artistic
expression, to expand their understanding and their conceptual abilities
within the core subjects, and thereby, indirectly, also in other areas of
the school curriculum.
To clarify the connections between concrete and abstract values and
establish a natural bridge between the two.
To give children a sound foundation in the arts, whereby various basic
artistic concepts become self-evident.
To allow work in the classroom to have as its starting point a holistic view
of the curriculum, where the various subjects complement one another and
provide children with a greater depth of education.
To give children the opportunity, on a continuous basis, of coming
face-to-face with professionally-produced art within the different forms of
artistic expression. Thereby allowing them to access matters of social
concern, questions of existential importance, etc.
To develop a form of practice, with instructional material, which can
continue to develop after the project itself has reached its conclusion.
